Carter was right in the middle of everything. He had a hard time grasping the idea that HIS birthday will be in 2 weeks. And he thought that he needed everything that Millie got. He even told Nana that he wanted a boy doll with a boy stroller :)
Welcome to our blog where we will post updates on our family on a not-so-daily basis. We hope you enjoy and feel free to click away.

Millie is 2!!!
Millie had a great 2nd birthday today. We had a busy day, but she managed to open a 'few' gifts. Her first present was from Memaw & Pappy (my mom's parents), a cute little cupcake dress. So she had to wear it to our first night of AWANA's. Her favorite gift was from Nana and Pop, a baby and stroller. The Big Dora from Mrs. Kim was a close second, but we opened it too late to get any pictures.

A day at the zoo...
I'm back after a long hiatus. I'm more hooked on following everyone elses blog on Google Reader then updating my own. I also spend 99.9% of my time on the internet on a website I just discovered... GardenWeb Home Site. We're in the process of remodeling, pretty fun!!!
Ok back to the pics. We spent the morning at the zoo with Tara, Reagan, Anderson, and Baby #3 Dennie. It was lots of fun and we can't wait to go back. Of course on my way out of town I saw that the Krispy Kreme light was on so we HAD to stop. Enjoy!

Mother's Day Monster
OK, so the idea was supposed to be that the kids would say a nice sweet message to be the Mother's Day card for Gran (Chris's mom) and she and Pappaw could see it on the blog and enjoy it. Well, that would have been nice.
So, Sunday morning when Carter treated mommy with breakfast in bed, our first attempt at a sweet Mother's Day message turned out a little different that expected. Between Carter doing his best monster impression and Millie lifting her shirt for the camera (and the camera not focusing at all -- auto-focus, mind you), it wasn't quite what was envisioned.
Here it is:
So, try two came after lunch when we figured having a full belly of pizza would help out. And it did. Carter and Millie were sweet and cooperative in smiling for the camera and saying Happy Mother's Day to Nana (Amy's mom) as Nana got in her truck to leave the restaurant.
The voice in the background is Nana, who is sitting in her truck. Carter tries to explain to her that he is saying Happy Mother's Day to Gran, who is "in the camera".
So, Happy Mudder's Day, Gran. We love you and thanks for being a great mom for almost 31 years now.

Carter Plays Ball
Now that the weather is nice we're playing quite a bit of ball outside. Here are some videos of our all star. Thanks James for the great video skills! We can't wait for you and Amy to be here permanently.
Here is a link to more of james' skills, pretty funny!
